I’m Evelyn Dupuy, a Cuban singer-songwriter , I was born in Santiago de Cuba and have been living in Amsterdam since 2014. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the honor of being the lead vocalist for Rolf Sanchez’s band, performing on some of the biggest stages in the Netherlands. In 2019, I also participated in The Voice of Holland, an experience that helped shape me as an artist.

Moving to the Netherlands was not just a geographical change but a deep personal and introspective journey. Here, I found the freedom to embrace my Afro- Caribbean roots something that was often suppressed in Cuba due to social expectations and eurocentric beauty ideals. In the Netherlands, I learned to celebrate my Afro hair, my skin, and my culture. This journey of self-acceptance and reconciliation is deeply reflected in my music.

The fusion of Afro-Cuban Latin jazz and electronic elements in “En el Limbo”, my most recently work is the sound of my story, my exploration of identity, belonging, and self-love. I hope you feel it as much as I do.
